Check it out!!!
The video for the Coast 2 Coast 2015 is ready and it looks unreal. Top quality lads :)
Keep an eye out and see if you spot me around the 7.20 and 8 min mark :)
Just want to take a moment out of my extremely lazy day of rest to say thanks to all the 26 Extreme team for pulling off one of the most amazing events I have ever taken part in. I had a brilliant time and enjoyed every minute of it (even the ones when all of my joints hurt)!!
I also want to thank my amazing sponsors Only Natural Health Food Storeand Rake of Cakes because without them I wouldn't have had all the scrumtious 'fuel' needed to complete the race.
And last but not least, thanks to everyone for all their support both before, during and after the race. It was a great boost everytime I met Ruth during the race and she read out your facebook comments.
I'll try and get a report on the race written by the end of the week.
But now, to plan my next big race while I have my mug of tea ... :)
Oh ... and I just handed this to Ruth to check before I posted it ... and eh, yeah ... THANKS RUTH for being my support and following me across the country for 22 hours with no sleep and no radio!!!
After aiming to complete Coast2Coast in 24hours, Ciaran absolutely smashed it! 22 hours and 6 minutes to traverse the country by bike, kayak and running, placing 8th out of 46 competitors! Absolutely unreal!
Time for a beer? I think so!!!
The night has passed! After changing out of the rain-drenched clothes, he's into the final stretch of the run! One final challenge to summit Slieve Donard and then it's the into Newcastle to the finish line!
Cycle finished and grub's up!! A little break now before the final 35km run through the Mourne Mountains...puke!!!
Hills, hills, hills!!!
Kayak over and cycle number 2 is well and truly under way! He's feeling good after a feed and a cuppa. The rain is starting to come in now and darkness is looming so it's set to get more difficult, physically and mentally. He's doing awesome !
