Just a quick update from the road! No WiFi to date but we haven't looked very hard!!
So far we've made it to Vimoutiers! After going in circles In cherbourg, we settled for the night in Chateau de Vouilly - an amazing place that was the Press office for the US army in '44. Not exactly slumming it, but we decided to treat ourselves after our good pal Gabriel met us at the terminal with a "brown envelope"!!!
Day 2 saw us on the saddles up 10% gradients for 12 hours....All in the name of seeing the Tour de France in Vimoutiers. We arrived at 9pm, knackered, sun burnt and smelly! But it all paid off when we blagged to passes into the VIP pre-race village in Livarot this morning! We got free cider, free food and got to see the bikes and riders up close and personal! Pretty awesome so far!
